Spiderman Nails

These are my first Hero nails but I think they turned out pretty well. My youngest is crazy for superheroes so for him I agreed to do a bunch of different styles of Heros this weekend. This is the first one. Let me know what you think and what you would change.  Also which hero you'd like to see next. What fun nails are you wearing this weekend?

Saddle Shoes

Hello again, I hope everyone is having  a great day  !
Today my focus is split between the time period challenge and something I am doing for the weekend. So I think I will end up doing two postings today. Some of you might see that as difficult but I am so addicted to doing nails I would love to do it for the entire day and nothing else.
This week's time challenge is 1950's. Now I love doing the challenges but this one was particularly enjoyable. The 50's were a time of amazing change. Art, fashion, music, they were all affected by this generation and of course one of the most important parts of a time period is the shoes!
I love Saddle Shoes. Bold clean lines they made a statement then and still to this day represents class and dignity.   Being able to put these on nails just takes the cake. Have you ever put shoes on your nails? I would really like to see it if you want to share!

1920's

Hi Ladies, well today I am going to be doing a quick post. Today just hurts and I am getting nowhere with stuff. So.... Here is the mani for the time periods challenge. This week is the 1920's. I gotta say it was really fun. I had all kinds of ideas for this but the one thing that I couldn't get out of my head was the decorative pieces that they wear on their heads. All that gold and glitter with perfect plumage. Well as you can clearly see I was entirely unsuccessful at changing my thought process but I did love getting to use this new nail tape I got!

Gears of War

Today I wanted to do a mani in honor of my wonderful husband!  He works incredibly hard long hours and still manages to be a great father and my best friend.   I am so lucky to have him in my life.
Thanks for everything you do hun!

Life is a Puzzle

Today was quite a long day as my daughter's birthday party was last night. She had a slumber party so I had a house full of nine little girls! Amazing little divas playing dress up and singing and playing Just Dance. We had so much fun! They were so funny and of course everyone wanted to get their nails done. Do you know how hard it is to put nail art on those tiny fingernails? Ha!
So after all that fun we had then clean up today I wasn't really in the mood for much more nails. This is the result of that Puzzle nails. As life is a puzzle and you never know when the pieces will fall into place.

Kiwi fun.

Hello again, I hope everyone's doing well and loving life. This is a manipulation I did for my daughter's birthday breakfast. My husband and I took her out for brunch on her birthday and she wanted to make sure she got Kiwi with her breakfast. Oh how fast they are growing up, my youngest daughter is nine years old now.

Princess

Good morning everyone, I apologies for taking so long to post. I have been looking after my 16 year old daughter who has recently undergone surgery. However, during that time we tried lots of different types of nail art and so I will have lots to show you over the next few days.
First we were going through some other posts and blogs that I follow and came across Disney Princess nails, and so we did this cute mani for Jasmine. I am not part of the challenge but we did it anyway and had lots of fun.

Jewelry with a Reason

Among the many challenges that our family faces everyday is having children with special needs. I don't think any parent is truly prepared for the Autism diagnosis but having worked in the field of special needs we had a fairly clear picture as to what the future holds for our little ones. Now a few years in and many beautiful moments later we have come to see how important it is to not only work with our children, but also educate the rest of the world aswell. Raising awareness for this issue has never been more important. The Autism Spectrum covers a large number of disorders and we are still learning about ways to help. One thing is for certain, early intervention is critical.
That being said I wanted to do another jewelry inspired nail art but this time, I wanted to do it after one of my favorite pieces of awareness jewelry. This bracelet was handmade by some very dedicated people and so I tried my best to recreate it here. The Autism ribbon is rainbow colors in the shape of puzzle pieces. "Until all the pieces fit"

Turtles

As I am stuck wearing this bandage on my finger I can only do certain things. Fortunately one of those thingsbis playing with paint. Gee such hardship I suffer. So here is my first attempt at turtles. Admittedly I need practice but fun all the same!

Dogs and Nails

So I have some tragic news to share with everyone, well maybe not tragic but upsetting anyway. You may have noticed in my last post my nails were shorter, well this is because while training the dogs I ended up needing to tackle the big baby mastiff to stop him from getting hit by a car. He's fine but my nails got trashed. My pinkie fingernail was torn almost completely off. I now only have about a third of it left down by the cuticle and to add insult to injury I am stuck wearing this contraption that my hubby made to protect my finger. It works really well it's just not pretty at all! So I am pouting today!

Irish family tree

document.write('">r /> Here is my mani for the Jewelry challenge. It is based on this necklace my father bought for me from Ireland. My family is from there and all of the pieces he has bought me for my whole life have been original gaelic jewelry. This necklace is my favorite as to me it represents my Irish family tree.
