Groovy Baby!
Good morning Sunshine! It's Wednesday and that means time period challenge day! This week's time period is the every Groovy 1960's. Does it get any better than that? Well probably as for me there is far too much wild color and patterns in this decade for my liking. However it doesn't stop me from enjoying the very bright colors I got to play with for the challenge this week.
When I Googled the 1960's one thing stuck out more then anything, Peace! So here it is, my crazy, peace lovin, make love not war, everyone really needs a haircut, 1960's mani!
I hope everyone else had as much fun with this one as I did!

Unlikely Pair
In the meantime I went ahead and chose two colors that weren't pink or blue but instead I chose khaki from Rime London and Unicorn from Sinful colors. To my surprise this actually turned out to be really pretty. I guess you never know until you try it!

Amazing Decals
Good morning Sunshine! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had to share with everyone this super fun mani I did for my daughter! I ordered some decals on ebay not really expecting much but I liked the image of the tree so a couple clicks later and that's that.
Well, let me tell you, I was stunned when they got here. The image is flawless, which would make sense as she designs them herself. She even threw in some extras of different styles for me to try.
My daughter and I had so much fun creating the mani around the decals of Nemo that she picked. The decals were super easy to use. Here are some pictures of the mani, unfortunately my photography skills still need work.

The cool part of Julies decals,
Is that she can custom make it for you. Anything you want, she can do. Even photos and drawings whatever you can come up with. I will definitely be ordering more from her! Here is her website I encourage everyone to check it out!

Miss Marvel
Hello again, It would appear that there has been a mutiny in my own house! My children have decided that to keep it fair between the two of them, they will each take a turn choosing what goes on my nails
..... I am wondering if they realize that I might like a turn to pick too? Under these circumstances my daughter's response to Spiderman is Miss Marvel. A bold move on her behalf! I wonder who the next one will be?!

Spiderman Nails
These are my first Hero nails but I think they turned out pretty well. My youngest is crazy for superheroes so for him I agreed to do a bunch of different styles of Heros this weekend. This is the first one. Let me know what you think and what you would change. Also which hero you'd like to see next. What fun nails are you wearing this weekend?
Saddle Shoes
Hello again, I hope everyone is having a great day !
Today my focus is split between the time period challenge and something I am doing for the weekend. So I think I will end up doing two postings today. Some of you might see that as difficult but I am so addicted to doing nails I would love to do it for the entire day and nothing else.
This week's time challenge is 1950's. Now I love doing the challenges but this one was particularly enjoyable. The 50's were a time of amazing change. Art, fashion, music, they were all affected by this generation and of course one of the most important parts of a time period is the shoes!
I love Saddle Shoes. Bold clean lines they made a statement then and still to this day represents class and dignity. Being able to put these on nails just takes the cake. Have you ever put shoes on your nails? I would really like to see it if you want to share!

1920's
Hi Ladies, well today I am going to be doing a quick post. Today just hurts and I am getting nowhere with stuff. So.... Here is the mani for the time periods challenge. This week is the 1920's. I gotta say it was really fun. I had all kinds of ideas for this but the one thing that I couldn't get out of my head was the decorative pieces that they wear on their heads. All that gold and glitter with perfect plumage. Well as you can clearly see I was entirely unsuccessful at changing my thought process but I did love getting to use this new nail tape I got!

Life is a Puzzle
Today was quite a long day as my daughter's birthday party was last night. She had a slumber party so I had a house full of nine little girls! Amazing little divas playing dress up and singing and playing Just Dance. We had so much fun! They were so funny and of course everyone wanted to get their nails done. Do you know how hard it is to put nail art on those tiny fingernails? Ha!
So after all that fun we had then clean up today I wasn't really in the mood for much more nails. This is the result of that Puzzle nails. As life is a puzzle and you never know when the pieces will fall into place.

Hello again, I hope everyone's doing well and loving life. This is a manipulation I did for my daughter's birthday breakfast. My husband and I took her out for brunch on her birthday and she wanted to make sure she got Kiwi with her breakfast. Oh how fast they are growing up, my youngest daughter is nine years old now.

Princess
Good morning everyone, I apologies for taking so long to post. I have been looking after my 16 year old daughter who has recently undergone surgery. However, during that time we tried lots of different types of nail art and so I will have lots to show you over the next few days.
First we were going through some other posts and blogs that I follow and came across Disney Princess nails, and so we did this cute mani for Jasmine. I am not part of the challenge but we did it anyway and had lots of fun.

Jewelry with a Reason
Among the many challenges that our family faces everyday is having children with special needs. I don't think any parent is truly prepared for the Autism diagnosis but having worked in the field of special needs we had a fairly clear picture as to what the future holds for our little ones. Now a few years in and many beautiful moments later we have come to see how important it is to not only work with our children, but also educate the rest of the world aswell. Raising awareness for this issue has never been more important. The Autism Spectrum covers a large number of disorders and we are still learning about ways to help. One thing is for certain, early intervention is critical.
That being said I wanted to do another jewelry inspired nail art but this time, I wanted to do it after one of my favorite pieces of awareness jewelry. This bracelet was handmade by some very dedicated people and so I tried my best to recreate it here. The Autism ribbon is rainbow colors in the shape of puzzle pieces. "Until all the pieces fit"

Turtles
Dogs and Nails
So I have some tragic news to share with everyone, well maybe not tragic but upsetting anyway. You may have noticed in my last post my nails were shorter, well this is because while training the dogs I ended up needing to tackle the big baby mastiff to stop him from getting hit by a car. He's fine but my nails got trashed. My pinkie fingernail was torn almost completely off. I now only have about a third of it left down by the cuticle and to add insult to injury I am stuck wearing this contraption that my hubby made to protect my finger. It works really well it's just not pretty at all! So I am pouting today!

Irish family tree
document.write('">r />
Here is my mani for the Jewelry challenge. It is based on this necklace my father bought for me from Ireland. My family is from there and all of the pieces he has bought me for my whole life have been original gaelic jewelry. This necklace is my favorite as to me it represents my Irish family tree.

Trying Studs
I know it's been a few days since my last post, honestly this is gonna happen some times. In a world like mine it can be difficult to find time to do little things for myself. So that being said, I have been practicing with my brushes and focusing on learning about techniques and tricks that artists use. It is amazing when you look at the talent out there. Some of the real nail artists are so good there should be a place for their work in museums. Mine on the other hand work be like the kindergarten equivalent. Still, I have fun and keep trying.
So here is my first try at working with studs. I think it turned out pretty well, and looks really cool!

This is the mani for Fast Food challenge however we don't do fast food as we have so many kids but we do drink a lot of coffee so instead I did coffee cups as to me this is fast food. Unfortunately the picture is still a work in progress but I hope you like it.

Yuck day
So today was less than fabulous, stuck in meetings for three hours to discuss my little man... Never easy for these kids. Then doctor appointments and family time. Mind you got great reviews on today's mani!
Spring Dots! Super cute and so much fun.

Okay so believe it or not this is my Tuesday post it just happens to be in the middle of the night. This should tell you something, I am not sleeping! Not exactly a new thing but frustrating none the less. Today's mani was for the Time period challenge - medieval. The picture isn't great, I seriously need to work on that part but it was fun to do.
